A: The web site migration service provided by tortillero is absolutely free of cost and consists of transferring all your files, databases and emails from your present hosting provider to your brand new web hosting account with us. We’ll also update all the settings needed for your web sites to be completely operational on our ultramodern cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are completely capable of moving any sort of web site. For them, transferring a custom–built web app with multiple custom libraries is as elementary as transferring a plain WordPress blog.

A: While we can’t give you an exact time frame, since there are plenty of variables, among them the size of the web files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to migrate your web site within 48 hours, and in some cases – within 24 hours (when the content is not very large).

A: We’ll need the login information for your old web hosting provider’s Control Panel along with the web site’s name (domain name).

A: In order for us to begin the transfer of your hosting account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose pretty much the same info you have provided to your previous host. We also have a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which specifies how personal data is handled.

A: Your web site will continue to work just like it did before with your old web hosting provider. When we have finished the transfer, your website will be configured to work on our hosting platform and we will ask you to preview it. If it is working properly, all you will have to do is modify the name server resource records for your domain name. Your web site will be transferred to us with no downtime whatsoever.

A: While we migrate your website content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t contact them in any way.

A: We can transfer your site from any hosting provider or any Linux–driven web hosting platform on condition that we can get access to the Control Panel and there is File Transfer Protocol access available.The only sites that we cannot transfer are those based on closed–source software apps such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
