If you wish to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you’ll need a special transfer authorization code, which may be referred to by different names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth-Info code, a domain name password, etc. All these names designate one and the same thing – a code that the domain name registrant receives from the present domain registrar and gives to the new one upon ordering. Without an authentic code, a transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the security mechanisms against unauthorized transfer attempts used with all gTLD and with most ccTLD extensions. For better security, the code includes digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you would like to transfer one of your domains, you need to supply the new company with the right code.
